The C.S.I. Egmore Wesley Church established in 1905 emphasizes not only corporate worship in the Methodist tradition at its regular Sunday services at 8.30 a.m. and 6.00 p.m. but also builds Christian fellowship through activities during the week like the Men’s Fellowship, the Women’s Fellowship, the Youth Fellowship, Prayer Fellowship, Area Fellowship and Choir . There is a growing library of religious books and audio visual material which members of the congregation can borrow every Sunday morning after the service. At the Sunday School, Junior Youth Fellowship and Tamil Bible school, children are nurtured in their spiritual growth and personal relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ.. The church tries to follow the Methodist Rule of conduct enunciated by John Wesley : Do all the good you can, in all the ways you can, in all the places you can, at all the times you can, as long as you ever can. The outreach programmes of the church received an impetus with the establishment of PARIVALAYA, the day care rehabilitation centre for mentally challenged children in ____, the building of a new congregation and construction of a church for them at Manapakkam in ____, renovation of the 100-year-old C.S.I. Middle School at Perumalpet which had been badly damaged in the heavy rains of November 2002, starting of a Tamil Bible School in 2005 for the children from the nearby slum and the recent starting of the Supervised Study Centre in June 2006 for these children, to help them with their studies during week days.

Centenary projects planned this year on the conclusion of the Centenary Celebrations are construction of a rural church at Ayyappanthangal on the outskirts of Chennai and the construction of a Centenary Block on campus to provide the much needed space for the expansion of Parivalaya, a conference hall for audio visual communication and a community hall.

Suggestions for new outreach programmes and offers of help are most welcome including from former members of the congregation who have settled outside Chennai and in different countries of the world and Pastors and Preachers missionaries who have served in this church in the past .
